A Blessing for What Lives Outside the Lines

Dear one,

There are ways of being in the world that have not always been understood.

Ways of seeing that do not follow expected paths.

Ways of feeling that move more deeply or

more quietly than the world has learned to notice.

There have been times when these ways were named incorrectly.

Called too much.

 Or not enough.

 Or simply… other.

And in those moments, what was different was often asked to become something else.

May we begin, gently, to lay that down.

May what is different no longer need to apologise for the shape it takes.

May what feels outside the line remember it was never outside life itself.

May the spaces that once narrowed begin, slowly, to widen.

Not through force.

 Not through correction.

But through a quiet recognition:

that there are many ways to inhabit this world and none of them are mistakes.

May those who have held themselves carefully for a long time

begin to feel a little more space around who they are.

May creativity—

 in whatever form it moves—

find its way through even the smallest openings.

And may we learn to meet one another without the need to reduce or define what is not immediately familiar.

So that difference is no longer something to be managed—

but something simply allowed.

And where it is allowed, may it be met with curiosity, with gentleness, and with quiet respect.

Nothing here asks to be changed.

 Only to be held.

Mistress of the Brew.
