Hello dear ones,
There are few moments in an author's life more encouraging than discovering that a story has stayed with a reader long after the final page has been turned.
I was delighted recently to receive a 5-star review for Nuts About Love (Love Tales and Recipes) from Reader Views. The reviewer particularly enjoyed the collection's blend of mystical storytelling, historical settings, and the recipes that accompany each tale. They described the stories as memorable and wrote:
"I can safely say that a few of the stories have not left my head since I finished the collection."
As an author, that is one of the loveliest compliments I could receive.
The review also highlighted the way the stories travel through different countries, cultures, and time periods while exploring themes of love, healing, resilience, and personal transformation. The recipes at the end of each story were noted as a unique addition that deepened the reader's experience.
Alongside the review, the book has received very encouraging feedback as part of the 2026 Reader Views Awards programme. While finalists and winners are yet to be announced, the evaluation recognised strengths in areas including voice, structure, dialogue, themes, editing, readability, and presentation.
For now, I am simply grateful.
Grateful for the readers who journey through these stories. Grateful for the opportunity to share tales inspired by different corners of the world. And grateful that the characters, recipes, and reflections in Nuts About Love have found a place in readers' hearts.
So if you're visiting the Celestial Café today, pour yourself something warm, settle into a comfortable chair, and remember that stories, much like recipes, are best when shared.
Books, bakes, brews, and blessings,
Melody
