Dear One,
For many years, the Celestial Café was enough.
Travellers would arrive weary from their journeys. They would find a warm brew, a listening ear, a comfortable chair, and perhaps the answer to a question they had not quite known how to ask.
Some stayed only long enough to finish a cup of tea.
Others lingered until the candles burned low and the stars appeared beyond the windows.
Yet, over time, a curious thing began to happen.
Visitors arrived later and later.
A storyteller would remain by the fire discussing books long after supper had ended. A pilgrim would become absorbed in conversation and lose track of the hour. An artist would spread sketches across the tables and insist they only needed "another few minutes."
Those few minutes often became half the night.
Before long, I found myself hearing the same question.
"Is there somewhere to stay?"
At first, I offered spare blankets.
Then a quiet parlour.
Then a room above the café.
And somehow, without anyone quite noticing how it happened, the Celestial Inn came into being.
It stands beside the Café now, its windows glowing softly in the evening light. Some rooms overlook gardens. Others face distant hills. A few seem to occupy places that do not appear on any ordinary map.
Every room contains a story.
Every corridor leads somewhere unexpected.
And every guest arrives carrying a journey uniquely their own.
The Inn is not merely a place to sleep.
It is a place to pause.
To reflect.
To gather one's thoughts before continuing onward.
To meet fellow travellers.
To share stories.
To remember forgotten things.
And occasionally, if one is very fortunate, to discover that the road ahead is brighter than it first appeared.
So should your travels bring you this way, know that a room has been prepared.
The kettle is already on.
The lamps are lit.
And the door, as always, remains open.
Warmly,
The Chatelaine
